Manage Stress, Build Resilience

In 2016 the World Health Organisation identified stress as the health epidemic of 21st Century. Stress continues to be on the increase and has significant impact on wellbeing and mental health.

 

Unmanaged, stress can lead to poor wellbeing and mental health. Stress related illness, sickness absence & presenteeism have all been shown to decrease when there is investment in wellbeing. (Deloitte 2023. Mental Health & Employers Report)

This module has been designed to empower your team with tried & tested techniques to reduce stress .& build resilience.

​

  • Stress as a 21st Century problem

  • Recognising stress & stressors

  • Methods of reducing stress 

  • Understanding resilience

  • Lifelong resilience skills which promote confidence & improve personal performance,

This half day module can be extended into a full day workshop, in which attendees are guided to create their own stress prevention & resilience building plan.

Essential Wellbeing 

Great performance, engagement, teamwork... none of these things work as well without  foundation of great wellbeing & mental health.

In this module we look at the importance & benefits of taking responsibility for self-care.

 

  • What are wellbeing & mental health?

  • How to effectively boost and reinforce our wellbeing when required?

  • How to sustain great wellbeing with a growth mindset?

  • How is great wellbeing key to personal empowerment & success?

  • How to find time for proactive resilience practices?

Improving wellbeing in the workplace has been proven to increase employee engagement & productivity. 

 

Chose between a half day awareness session or a full day session incorporating continuous growth plan for personal wellbeing. 

First Aid for Mental Health

In the UK, one in four adults experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any given year.

 

Mental Health awareness has been shown to promote a mentally healthy environment, in which preventable issues are dealt with allowing teams to thrive. It encourages people to seek help when needed so that they can recover faster. It also empowers people with long term mental health issues to thrive in an environment where they feel supported and accepted in an informed and positive culture.

​

To embed a culture that supports mental wellbeing, it is recommend that all employees have awareness training, managers & champions taking level 2 & wellbeing leads taking level 3. 

​

 First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 - Awareness (Half Day)

First Aid for Mental Health Level 2 - First Aider (Full Day)

 First Aid for Mental Health Level 3 - Supervisor (Two Day)

Upon successful completion of the module & assessment, learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated award & certificate.

Perimenopause & Menopause Awareness 

It is estimated that 13 million women, or a third of the women in the UK are perimenopausal or menopausal. & that by 2025. Worryingly it is believed that 10% of women leave their jobs prematurely because of menopause related symptoms. Trends such as this have a implications not only to the economy but to employers & managers.

This module brings awareness & insight into the subject of perimenopause & the menopause.. It is designed to educate & inform; to bring understanding to a little understood subject that will impact us all at some stage. Those who take the course have found it 'empowering, informative & inspiring'. A significant number have taken positive action as a direct result of attending.
